WHO SHOULD ADVERTISE?

The Vehicle Designers Review (VDR) offers a unique marketing opportunity for those companies involved in this industry with advertising and editorial options. It should be considered as a marketing tool for any company whose products or services may be used by OEM and independent vehicle design teams and design studios worldwide. This particularly applies to companies involved in design studio technologies, independent design services and interior/exterior components, materials and systems. Although its content is predominantly focussed on automotive design it will be equally of interest to those working on commercial, industrial and recreational vehicles. It's international circulation also provides a cost effective method of gauging interest in possible new export markets.

Commercial participants wishing to submit an article would be expected to support the VDR in the ways outlined below. As already stated this is our only source of income as we do not charge any readership/subscription fees.

FREQUENCY

Due to the economic circumstances and their effects on the vehicle design community it was decided the second edition of the VDR would be published in September 2011.

When a new issue is available the previous issue will be archived but still available to read on the site.

Each Gold Sponsor will be able to write a short Foreword which appears at the start of their section of the VDR - this should be their views on this particular aspect of vehicle design rather than a promotional piece about their company. Their article (OEM length) will also be the first that appears in that section and may include a promotional movie. Gold sponsors will also have a full page advert and a hyperklinked logo which which will appear on the responder page seen by all those registering for the magazine. They will also have a hyperlinked banner advert on the main website. Gold Sponsorship is £6000 on standard pay or £4200 on early-pay option.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Advertisers have two options. When they confirm their space they may request to be sent an early-pay invoice* which reduces the cost by 30%. Payment of this invoice is usually made by credit card or bank transfer and payment must be received within 3 days of booking - please ensure this is possible before requesting this option. Please note the early-pay option will only be offered for a limited period, it is not usually available once within two months of copy date or three months of publication date - whichever is sooner. If they do not wish to use the early-pay* option advertisers will be invoiced for the full amount once their content is signed off. All payments must be received by the week The Vehicle Designers Review goes online.

EDITORIAL

Editorial content is a mix of technology profiles, interviews and reports and will cover all aspects of interior and exterior design. The Showcase Issue will usually be split into three sections covering Design Studio Technologies, Independent Design and Prototyping Services and Interior / Exterior Design Solutions.

A limited number of companies offering the more innovative and exciting design services or technologies will be invited to contribute a fully illustrated technical article or design case study. In the case of components or materials this would focus on a recently developed system, product or technology or in the case of a design studio perhaps a recently launched concept or design. These articles are usually 3-5 pages in length. Up to 30 of these are available in the Showcase issue. Companies submitting articles should also supply an email contact for any readers wanting more information - this will provide an instant response and feedback link and will appear at the end of the article.

The Vehicle Designers Review is available to read free of charge to relevant readers. Although its only source of revenue is the advertising support of commercial companies featured within it we do have a strict policy on the type of editorial included. The Vehicle Designers Review will not carry company profiles or articles that are considered overly 'sales' orientated. Articles from commercial contributors will only be included if written in an informative and objective manner. As the content and distribution of The Vehicle Designers Review is focussed on vehicle design teams working on different types of vehicles we suggest articles reflect this in their use of possible applications, case studies and images used.

MONITORING RESPONSE FROM ADVERTISEMENTS

From February 2010 all companies advertising will receive a detailed monthly report showing visitor/reader and click through information. Advertisers can see exactly how many people have read their article or advertisement, made email contact or visited their website as a result of their participation. These reports are very comprehensive and even show in which city readers are based. Many printed titles will claim a readership figure, with our monthly reports you can see exactly how well your advertising spend is working for you.
